Bottom Repairs

I need to do some minor repairs on the bottom of my 18 foot, dual console, outboard powered, fiberglass Custom Craft. Estimated weight without motor is 1,200 lbs. Any suggestions how my retired neighbor and I can turn this boat over without damaging the sides, sheer rails, decks, etc? Also, will sawhorses made from 2X4's support this boat? If not, what is recommended?

Re: Bottom Repairs

Willy, Is it possible to do the repairs without turning the boat over? If you put it up on cement blocks, most of the bottom will be available to work on (on your back).

Re: Bottom Repairs

Sorry boys,

The link I was reffering to is a thread in here started by

Mtnrat
subject :Best way to suspend and turn a boat
I thought that it could be linked, I guess I did it incorrectly.

I'll restart the thread.

My apoligies!

Re: Bottom Repairs

Thanks to sport15 for referring me to mtnrat's thread. It was great to hear from those who have actually done what I am contemplating. Will post my results.
