Replacing my 3 blade banged up aluminum 23 pitch w/ a 4-blade pro pulse that only goes to 21 pitch...I'm assuming it'll be somewhat similar at the 21 pitch setting, considering I'm adding a blade.

Does this make sense?

Excited to see if it gives me a better hole shot - even w/ the 220hp merc mpi on my 185 bayliner bowrider, it takes a bit to get on plane w/ 3-4 people.

Forgot to mention, on gps my 3 blade 23 pitch got me to 54mph on the gps but it's banged up - so will be interesting to see what a clean 4 blade 21 pitch plastic prop tops out at.

The experience from Scandinavia (Propulse is a Swedish propeller) shows great mid performance and fuel consuption, but not a good top speed...you might loose as much as 3-5 mph. I think the composite blades are flexing a little bit at top speed. If you buy one, you got the opportunity to choose between 6 different pitch in one propeller (15-21 pitch), and you can change blades if they`re damaged.

If your max diameter are 13 inches (23 and 25 mm prop shaft diam and 13 + 15 splines) it won`t get you higher than 21 pitch as you say, that`s maximum...but if you can use a 14,5" the maximum is 22 pitch (25 mm prop shaft only and 15 or 19 splines).
