Thanks, yeah it was pretty straight forward, I tinker with my cars here and there... just don't like taking motors apart, afraid they won't work afterwards, lol.

I'll just ask if you have "Nylock" nuts on the mounting hardware. Washers and lock washers don't do as well to hold the lag bolts tight in an application like this. It's not the end of the world, but I recommend making sure you have Nylocks on there.

That nonsense aside, what a great looking improvement! That upgrade will serve you very well.

The winch is too high, do you have any adjustment to get the bow roller to wedge between the bow eye & the hull stem?
Lower the winch, raise the boat?
FWIW I also think fixed trailer rollers on the sloping part of the stem can cause problems.

I can lower it but the next adjustment puts it just under the hook... the boat is off balance for some reason, one side is higher and I need to replace one of the middle rollers as it's got chunks out of it.

will have to play with the position and see if I can get it on a good spot.

And no, no Nylock nuts that I can recall... will check when I get home, I used the hardware that came with it as everything was still pretty much spotless, no rust or damage visually.
