Re: Bow Thrusters, necessary??

One alternative to a thru hull thrusters is an external one, nice sleak design and can run up to 40 min/hr. I've used one and it's alot cheaper and easier to install, no holes below the waterline. Immediate response too.

Denis, don't you think that three and a half years later he has already decided what to do??

I don't know if it is noted anywhere in the forum but my 2 cents it should be noted that all searches done on a topic/subject through this forum's search engine may turn up older threads and that the searcher must beware that these threads can be as old as this thread (for example) if not older.

So it will be useless to respond to threads like this unless it is one of your old threads that you started and you would like to update everybody on your progress etc etc.

It's what some of us call digging up old threads. I have done it myself one time, and I have responded to a few old threads that somebody has dug up because I might of had something to relate to in the subject of the old thread, that was in stupid human tricks while boating and fishing forum by the way lol.

Hmmm I wonder if the original poster of this thread would be notified if he subscribed to this thread back then, I wonder if he would be notified of the update on this thread if his e-mail is still the same.

I don't think it is a question of need. With some practice, you can learn to manuever the boat, taking tide, wind, etc. into consideration as needed. Really its about "want" and only you can determine if that want is worth 6 grand.
