my boat sits high on the trailer (narrow track trailer) so I have to get the tops of the fenders just at the water line, I have found that works best.

Mines a 90" trailer, a 96" would be much more desirable.

I can go that far, it just doesn't seem to center as well.

If mine was that wide the launch would be easier but it would be too wide for my narrow local ramp
& driveway that’s why I just stuck with this & upgraded everything in the running gear and lowered the crossmembers to get it as low as possible….

Yeah. Works out right now that the boat hull is just over the fender so I couldn't lower it more if I tried. I also only have an inch or so before the hull hits a cross member. I think its 70" between the fenders.

Mine is a bit more I think it's 76" or 77"
you can see how I lowered it in a few pix
How it was originally:

2nd pix is after lowering it, got OEM brackets from Load Rite to lower the crossmembers.....
was fun getting those bolts loose after all the years in salt water lol.

you can tell more by the fenders in the 2nd pic...
I also changed the axle from a straight 3500 lb 2x2 to a custom drop 6000 lb 2x3 axle saddle center section with 6 lug hubs and 12" brakes. It's a Franken trailer but it works just fine for me.
In the 3rd pic lowered the front a bit more....Also years ago put a long factory Load Rite tongue on it, to make load/launch easier and longer roller bars as well....
