Quick question if anyone can help. I just bought a brand new tiller steer manual trimmanual tilt outboard.

I mounted it today, but the tiller will not move right or left.

Is there some kind of lock?

I've read it cover to cover, but I'm not seeing anything
Care to point me in the right direction?

To be clear, the manual very clearly explains moving the arm up and down and how to adjust steering tension. Mine just doesn't move.

Right. But it's not that the tension is tight. The arm is literaly locked. Can the tension be so high that it won't Move at all?

Thanks for the reply. I actually figured out that there was a bracket installed for shipping that needed to be removed.

I'm having a new problem though.

I've followed the owners manual for start-up. The motor is in neutral, the kill switch is connected (It's snapped into the red button popping said button out.) I connected the fuel line with the arrow on the bulb toward the motor and pumped the bulb until hard.

I pulled the starter rope gentle until there was resistance and then gave a strong pull but nothing. Unfortunately, I struggled with a bunch, so at this point I'm sure it's flooded and I just need to wait a few days to let the gas evaporate -- just at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong.

I tried it a few times with the cowling off. LED 2, 3, 4 light up red after (or maybe during the pull) and quickly turn off. LED 1 does nothing but I'm assuming that's normal because there is no battery.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
