Hi all, i,m presently getting my yearly service done, twin 4.3 efi,s and bravo 2,s.

anyway my mechanic was surprised he could not find a grease nipple for one of the gimbal bearings.

the port motor had the transom shield assembly replaced last year due to corrosion, the mercathode system on that side was not working and there was no bonding in the boat (prior to me buying it)

so strangely the new transom shield has no method of lubricating the bearing

has anyone heard of this before, are the gimbal bearing now non serviceable,

any ideas

It's easier to sell the boat new when there's quote "less maintenece involved" so to speak.
