hey guys, need some input, i have a bravo 3 with leaking input shaft and i was about to tear into it like i would an alpha drive when i watched a video(stupid stupid stupid) this guy talked about setting the gears in time
are the gears supposed to be aligned/timed when you insert the drive shaft gear into the other gears?
i have the manual and i see no reference to this. if i am just replacing the input shaft seal/seals, can i just proceed as i would on an alpha?
this is a 2008 bravo 3.
thanks for any help

Manual 28 page 3A-57 and 3A-58 shows how to set clutch gears timing

This is done prior to installing the drive shaft. The question is, does this need to be done again if only the drive shaft was removed? I would say yes because the clutch gears could move with the drive shaft going in/out.

Just remove the rear cover and align prior to drive shaft re-install
