Bravo II raw water pump

Just rebuilt Bravo II raw water pump and have one question ,can I turn the wear plate over and use it one more time?

If the plate is really worn, I would replace it. . . kind of 'depends'. Usually it comes in a kit with the impeller. I have reused plates in the past that were showing some signs of wear, but not too bad. There is a bearing seal on the other side of the plate, so some unevenness from a worn plate flipped over might be a problem :noidea:

Don't think twice, replace it while you have it separated.

Take a good look at the wear plate edge. One side is flat, the other side is round.
That was pointed out to me by the real good Merc. dealer in SoCal who went on to say which way it faces is critical.

No reason to doubt him and if it was meant to be flipped over, you'd figure both sides would be the same.

Thanks guy's I did put a new one in and the old one went in the trash.
Mark , I did notice the slight difference in the two sides.
