I have broken the lube fitting in the transom. Was able to remove the E clip but can't figure how to remove the "quick disconnect". Don"t know how to work it.
Any help short of breaking the disconnect would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Butch,

As there are a few variations in 'Bravo' transom assemblies, we really need a drive serial number...

Hi there, here are some photos of the 90 degree fitting you're trying to remove to help give you an idea,

Mercruiser 22-861163 in Parts & Accessories | eBay

You need to push the off white colored button in to release. It's not as easy as you would think.

Good luck.

P.S, Sorry Chris, unfortunately many experiences with messing with this fitting requires no serial number needed this time. Just jugging by the OP's description with words like E clip is more than enough.:D

Cool....

I suspected so, just wanted to be sure if someone with more experience didn't come along... (also want to get posters into the habit of including serial numbers ;))..

Next time you remove the bell housing, just cut the oil line and install a new one later. Much easier than swapping that lube fitting...
