Are these two drives interchangeable? Any advantages of one over the other ?
Thanks

Ayuh,.... All the Bravo upper units are the same, only the lower units change,....

The B-II is a tug boat drive, it swings a Monster prop, like for houseboats, 'n barges,.....

Goin' from a B-I to a B-III is usually a Good move on most hulls,....

Yes they are interchangeable fit wise. But depending on the years of the drives you have to be careful of the oil passage hole between the upper and lower units as the earlier years didn't have an oil passage like the later models did.

Also you have to know the gear ratios between the two drives because the lower has different gear tooth counts. http://www.mercruiserparts.com/Show_...%28BRAVO+II%29

The B2 is longer from the cav plate down. It is meant for bigger props for big heavy boats. What are you looking to do?
