Are the two hoses from the trim pump to the gimbal the same? What I'm finding looks like 2 different hoses, one black and one gray, and 45-48" long but I don't want to order them twice.

Also, I understand that the only way to change the hoses is with the boat out of the water. Is this correct ?

Thanks

The 2 colors designate the high and low pressure hoses
Yes, boat must come out and trim connector block remove and pulled downward to access the hose

So it actually wasn't a bad job at all. Is there any difference in the hoses besides the color? For example if I have them backwards an I at risk of blowing the "low" pressure hose on the high pressure side?

Only if you drive the drive to full up and held the pressure on for a while... Tell us what's going on... You're hinting at things and without knowing the full story is difficult to make suggestions...

I blew out one of the hoses yesterday and replaced them today but I may have put the hoses backwards so I'm wondering if it's bad enough to pull the boat from the water and check or if the hoses are the same on the inside but different colors to indicate which is which. I'm planning to pull it in February to pull the drive for maintenance unless this is a critical situation.

Ayuh,...... Ya can't change the hoses, in the water,......

In order to get to the drive ends, the hyd. manifold is unbolted, 'n pulled down to access the nuts,.....
The Hyd. manifold is mounted to the bottom of the outer transom housin',.....

'n at that end, the metal nipples are different lengths to reach the fore, 'n aft distances,.....
