hey guys, the other day i was out and my steering cable broke, so i went and bought a new setup called Uflex "the rack" well i installed it and everything went smooth until i went to install it to the motor, i need the tube that the end slides through and the nut attaches to, it's a johnson 100esl72r. It's kind of hard to explain the piece i need, it's the stationary piece that the actual arm moves in, the guy at the boat shop said to reuse the old one from the old setup but it doesnt work, the old one threaded on, but this setup has a nut that screws on, hopefully you guys know what im talking about or what to do, so any opinons let me know.

Re: broken steering cable

The best way to go is by exchanging the one you bought and getting one with the right engine hookup. They are available.
