Re: Brrrrrrrrr

I went out bass fishing at the local reservior (in Flint, MI) and it was freezing, it was in the 40's all day, and extremely windy, with rain/snow.... horrible day, but when winter gets here, ill have time to rebuild my boat motor, sell it, and then put the money towards a nice boat next year ('87-up bowrider) as right now im stuck with a '78 wellcraft with a rotted floor, and other problems, though the boat does not have a single leak in it :)

Plus, I hope we get quite a bit of snow this year, unlike last year so i can get out the firecat f-7 and do some riding.

Pat Campbell, Yeah, hunting seasons have been screwy for a few years. I don't get into it anymore, and can't stand the cold. I would rather tangle with a fish. But my house fills up with hunters for 10 days.

I moved here from Hwy 100 and Capitol Drive.
Where are you at?

I'm now 57 miles south of Park Falls.
(59 miles from the St. Croix store) :p

Sure, Link, there is no problem with several people kneeboarding, or sking behind this tritoon. And I am still narrowing down for the right prop.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr

Its the 3rd morning in a row for the ole defrosters to remove ice from my windshield. I thought last year this crap started early by two weeks, and this year it is 4 weeks early. The Great Lakes region is great for fishing, but it sure seems like a cold weather magnet.

Northern folks buy southern cars because they don't have rust on them.(due to road salt) It seems southern folks would want to buy northern boats since they have only half the use on them compared to ones used in the south.

Gotta go to work to get some furnaces inspected and fired up. They are already paging me.. :( Have a great day......SS

Mike & Pat--

Pat, My sister and bro-in-law still live in Wa-keesh-a :p on Waverly (Spellman). Very little food around here for the bears. They have been very active in my area. They are being seen in the daylight, which is very unusual.

The deer are starting to get active too. The rut seems to be almost starting, now that the temps are dropping.

As for missing the metro area, yes and no. I miss seeing a few friends, and miss the choice of entertainment. I used to frequent all the rock and blues clubs seeing bands like Dave Fitpatrick, Steve Cohen, Jim Liban, Greg Koch, Short Stuff, Oceans/Streetlife, Paul Cebar, LeRoy Airmaster, and anyone that was traveling thru, from jazz to new age to rock. I also miss the really good food at all the great eateries. People in the Milw Metro area don't know how good they have it. The variety and quality of restaurant food is better than most areas of the country.

Re: Brrrrrrrrr

The growing season officially ended here this morning with a hard freeze. My beautiful garden is a flat green mushy spot. Upside: the Baja runs a lot faster in cold air. Downside: so does my nose!

Played T.A.Verns, The Globe, Shank Hall, well and alot of the little ones too
Hey Skiusme I also live in Onalaska but I hate the snow (shovling sux and snowblower is dead) I tell you what though compared to Milwaukee and its Lake effect snow falls it aint nothin here.

Mike- I went to see plenty of "those" bands too, but didn't want to scare you off.

TAVerns used to be a country bar, before that it was "The Sassy Fox" a disco, I was there when I was 13.?!!?
Leverage
Burst
White Lie
Gypsy
48 Street Rockers
Bad Boy
Brick
Dave Knight (Face)
Ruby Star
Quo Vadis
And so many more I will never remember
The Palms, Stone Toad, Jabberwoky, Century Hall, Secrets, Up & Under, Harpo's, Rave,
I went to school with Greg Koch.
I just read a review on him, from... Australia of all places.
I still go to see Dave Steffen once in awhile. He just played in Marshfield last month.

Oh that was so long ago......good memories
I even saw Iggy Pop at .... well somewhere - east side.

Who did you play with?
