What an awful display. Demolition derby.

I hope people understand that with this new (!!!) car and new rules they are all completely incompetent. Is watching them learn worth the trouble??

Awful display? Sort of. But how about giving Kyle Busch some WELL DESERVED credit! He was wrecked how many times? Saved his car how many times? And still won the race, without wrecking Stewart???? That young man can DRIVE a race car! Period.

I think Danica will do fine with the big boys. She is a lil ball of fire....and "Nice" Looking too She has alot to learn about these cars and I will be pulling for her to do well.
Nascar NEEDS Danica in the sport right now that is why we will all be seeing alot of her.
As for Kyle B....as it was stated above....he wrecked several times but I don`t think anyone told him that he had wrecked so he just kept driving all the way to the front.
I am a Ford man, always have been and always will be. The Fords looked a little sluggish last night. I am sure they will be dailing them in before the Twins.
They will be running for the Front Row today.

JB, there were 2, or 3 cars that were not damaged. Stewart was one of them.


Just a terrible mess as far as I'm concerned.

They knew this was gonna happen, we saw it in practice earlier in the week.

Hard to blame the trailing car for bumping the one in front.
Really are to know if the lead car is going to move right, or let up.
Wait till the tires start giving up and they develop a push; car pushes up, driver lets off, huge wreck.
This is gonna cost the teams a lot of money.

They need to figure out a way to get them some more rear downforce - Fast.

I applaude NASCAR for trying to fix this mess, but they need to do some more thinking.

With the temperature only in the 60's last night, the cars were already overheating.
In July, the only cars that will be able to run together, will be the ones that have had the front clip torn off.



I simply can't imagine running 500 mies this way. Those drivers are gonna be hurtin like never before.

Might not even be worth watching on Thursday or Sunday.

I can't believe how well Gordon did in the first segment, with a broken front shock.

Easy. Put the spoiler they used last year back on. This year it's not as tall for less downforce.

I agree, since they raised the grill opening the cars will have to spread out when summer rolls around to keep them cool. That will make for some fun viewing...

We'll find out alot more how Sunday will look after Thursday's races. The cars they use on Thursday will be the ones for the 500. So, they wont be wadding them up like the Shootout, unless they want to start at the tailend of the field Sunday. Which in the plate races really isn't a big deal. Hang out in the back until it's time to go, just like Hendrick cars.

I see it's an all Roush front row, Edwards/Biffle.

How about they put the air intake snorkel up in the front bumper.
You get too close to the lead car and you choke off your motor.
