fuzzy i been thinking of this for a while....and out side of sand bags on the base of the pedistal.... i cant think of any way to do it.....

im assuming you dont want to drill holes in your floor because of rot potential??...is that correct?

if it is.....after the floor has been re in forced from below...to accept the pedistal.....just pre drill the holes...add 5200.then screw the pedistal into place using stainless screws.

out side of that....the only thing i can think of is to build a 2x4 frame around the pedistal base and then glass the frame to the floor....and personally i think it would look really weird. not to mention you would stub your toe on it all the time

good luck with it....keep us posted if you come up with somthing
cheers

Over drill the holes, fill with epoxy, then screw into the epoxy.

Yes, thats it if I can keep from drilling holes I will be very happy.
I found this while I was looking for ideas and If I glasses the boxes to
the floor it just may be what im looking for.

If I did this I probably woulden't put a pedistal on top. But thats why I have started to design it now I have time.

Those boxes are nice you get added storage plus dont have to drill through floor. and you don't need a pedestal seat just a reg boat seat would work fine. I like the pedestals but every one I have ever seen gets loose in a few years anyway. Seems like you are always messing with the bases to keep them tight and safe. With that said if you did decide on pedestals you would have to open up the floor so you could really reinforce it well to prevent problems in the future. But you could glass it all back in real well and not worry about it again.

For my pedastal seats I used these tee nuts from below. Cut a hole in center of where the pedastal will go just big enough to get the tee nut into position. Then draw them up into final position with a bolt and washer from above.
Then finish them in from above and below with 5200.

They are SS and 1/4-20 with 1.25" O.D.
With a dab of anti-sieze you will never wallow out the screw holes.
