Ok here's the thing I've been trailering for 3 yrs now and my bunks don't slide like they used to now I can order a can of liquid bunk roller spray from iboats.
My carpet is in good shape, but I will change the carpet this fall. I read somewhere that silicone will cause blistering in gel coats is this true if it does is there a product out there I can use safely

Liquid rollers IS silicone and no it won't hurt anything... Besides it'll be fully dry before the boat gets to it...

Silicone spray lube from your local box store works the same and is cheaper too.

I have to worry about shipping it's expensive to ship to canada

Just buy a can or two of regular silicone spray, spray down the bunks and enjoy boating. But make certain you are over water before removing the winch strap and safety chain/strap, because it will slide off the bunks without much effort...

Then buy them in Canada. That will be a one time deal and forget about it. Or, keep spraying and remember to not forget.

The slicks are so slick you'll wonder why you didn't buy them before. And forget about ever having to replace the carpet any more because you will never have to.

I've been looking where I am it's not something people have heard of I may talk to a marine store in ottawa about it

Its funny, I buy all my marine paint in Canada (I'm in the US), and pay through the nose as well. The particular supplier I buy from has a product that is just soooo superior that i don't mind paying triple for a little spray can.

We just went to the grand opening of a new Bass Pro Shop in Ontario. It was a Spring ride on a rainy day and we wanted to have lunch on the other side of the border anyway. They carry slicks. If they have a retail outlet in Canada maybe they can ship from that store for a normal charge.
