Burn leftover premix in your car/truck?

At the end of the season I used to dump all my unused ~45:1 premix into my old beater F150 to burn. It didn't mind the extra oil. But now I've just got a van (throttle body fuel inj) or car (multiport FI)... Do you think there's any reason not to "top up" the tank with some premix in these vehicles? Changing the plugs in both is a PITA, so to reduce the risk of fouling a plug, I would just top up the tank (so as to dilute the oil even more).

Thoughts? Do you use up leftover pre-mix in your vehicles?

Brent

Howdy, BF.
I doubt that either vehicle would pass an emissions inspection, if you have to deal with that, and you would probably get more than a normal amount of smoke.

Don't know what it might do to your injectors and/or plugs, could be expensive.

When I had leftover premix (before my 4 strokes) I used it in my mowers, tractors, and (with a bit of chainsaw oil added) in weedeaters and chainsaws. Before that, when I had carbed trucks, they loved it.

Brent go ahead and use it in your van it will not smoke or foul your plugs.

You could put it into your chainsaw, with a little more oil and some fuel stabalizer.

Add some stabalizer and use it next year.
You live in Winnipeg so you know someone with a snow blower or a sled so use it up in that

If you dilute it alot you'll probably be fine, but don't use very much or you could do some bad things to your catalytic converter/oxygen sensor.

hmmm... seeing as how I just finished troubleshooting/replacing an O2 sensor (another PITA), that seems like the best reason so far to figure another use for the gas. The "use it for sleds" idea is a great one... it just hadn't crossed my mind!

Thx

Brent
