Woohoo! Gas has come down to 2.46 here in NH. I read alot in DC about GW and his oil buddies jacking the prices up recently and just wanted to give credit where due. I really appreciate him going ahead and lowering them now. :)

My gas has dropped a bit, down to 2.75. Diesel is up at 3.20. All they did was play a shell game on us.

Never thought I'd be happy to see super unleaded for $2.99..... $75.00 on pump #3......

Now that the Admins have lowered the gas prices (wink-wink :p ), maybe they can do something about the taxes... ;)

Re: Bush administration lowers gas prices

I helped my dad move one weekend recently. I used my pickup, which has a 32-gallon tank. He was with me when I pulled up to the pump at the end of the day, and he jumped out with his credit card in hand to "pay the pump" before I could get to it. He insisted on paying for my fill-up. I said "Dad, do you realize this pickup holds 32 gallons of gas?"

I never even saw his hand go back to his pocket, but I did notice he didn't have his credit card in it anymore. :)

The fill-up was over $75. :(

Did ya ever think we'd be sitting around talking about what a sweet deal $2/gallon gasoline is? Never in my wildest dreams...

Gas futures are very volatile right now---they are bouncing .10 a day. I don't know what they closed today, but they were flirting with $1.65. Add .70-.90 cents for taxes, transportation, and margin for dealers, and you get 2.35-2.55 a gal basd on the futures price...

They have a ways to go yet

Who says GW had anything to do with it?
They dropped significantly in other counties too.
Just supply/demand. (and yes, a bit of gouging)

Still a brisk $2.90 here.

Oh but wait... I'm in Oregon.. That means we get charged higher than everyone else in the first place.

H.

Alden, either your an Idiot or this is a joke.

Gas prices are not controlled by anyone except you I and the rest of the world.

The only thing GW can do is encourage a tax increase or decrease on gas.

Spud
