Buzzer Going Off

I have a 2000 Yamaha 40 hp 4 stroke with no guages on the boat and the buzzer in the throttle going off just after starting it. I found a broken thermal sensor and removed it. I still have the buzzer going off even without the thermal sensor in the boat. What else could it be?

could be a fuel restriction

Is the fuel system tied into the alarm? I had the carbs rebuilt and a new fuel/water seperator installed along with a new ball and hose so I don't think it is the fuel. Could be wrong though......thats why I'm here!
