C##### and Whiskey??????

WTH..... my local country radio station here in Casper WY was playing a Kid Rock song "Cocaine and Whiskey" earlier today. I am not a Kid Rock fan so forgive me if I got the tiltle wrong. Anyway, when the lyrics got to the the cocaine and whiskey part... they bleeped out cocaine. How is it we can live in this modern world and they would bleep out the cocaine part but not the whiskey part? Also, seems to me that nearly most of the new and a lot ofthe old counrty songs should have a ton of words bleeped out........

Political correctness once again rears its ugly head.
Bet it's an attempt to not offend their advertisers. UGH.
If they don't want to play the song as it was intended, they should just skip playing it at all period. Just hope this station never tries to play the song "Cocaine", (written by JJ Cale, popularized by Clapton), since that word occurrs about once every 10 seconds or more during the whole song!

Our local Classic Rock station for some reason plays a "G Rated" version of Jet Airliner, as performed by the Steve Miller Band.

"I don't want to get caught up in any of that funky sh*t going down in the city" is changed to where the word "kicks" is substituted for the naughty word. Makes my hair stand on end whenever i hear it played. It's just not right, and anyone who'd actually be offended by something that unimportant should find something more important to worry about.

Censorship at it's finest... Pretty much like TV, they can say &%#(, but not (#$&, while on another channel they can say @*&$, but not !^&$^, or !)#^, but not $^%#%. They can talk all day about feminine care products, zit creme or wiener meds, but the world would come to a grinding halt if they uttered the word (I better not say it )

as for legal and illegal.... there are so many things that our artist sing about that arethe later of the two if i an not mistaken..... RAP music ....if you want to call it music...... seems to have a lot of works that should be bleeped.

Why don't you give your local station a call and ask them? May be just a personal option done by the DJ or the station owner.

If that is the case, no one here is going to know why they chose to bleep that word only.

They've done the same thing with a lot of classic rock songs. Songs they've been playing for 3 and 4 decades with the same words, but all of a sudden those words are being bleeped out. It really ****** me off and I want to **** everytime I hear the bleeps.

I don't really think that the people that would be offended by these words are listening to this music anyway, I'm pretty sure they're listening to gospel music or religious talk radio.

Even if someone hears something that might be offensive to them on the radio, they have the choice of 2 knobs... one that changes the station and the other turns it off.

LOL...OK I guess technically but since they haven't been enforced in over 30 years, probably not going to get arrested for it. Also illegal to "live together" if you want to get really technical.
