Does anyone know what the best products and procedures are for cleaning headliners ?

Mine are discolored where water has dripped in under the windshield bolts and along the rub rail inside. The boat is a 94 Baja 272

I cleaned them once before but can't remember the products or how I did it.

Marine/Home improvement stores have lots of product to remove mildew. Most of them will not work because the main ingredient in them is bleach. You can save yourself some $$ and go to your pharmacy and buy a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide (3% concentration). Unlike bleach, Hydrogen Peroxide will penetrate the fabric and kill the mild inside the pours of the fabric. Bleach is good only on flat non porous surface like glass or tiles. Use a spray bottle, spray generously and wait for 10 or 15 minutes and then you can use a small carpet cleaner with shampoo for final cleaning.
