Question one, Is the Cajun bass boats still being build and if so by whom?

I am looking at a 1998 21 footer with a Yamaha 150 V pro motor. Any one have any experence with this boat. It needs some TLC, however it seems to run very good. The asking price is 6K, is this a fair price, the hours on the boat is around 50 per owner however it has been stored outside with out cover for several years. Can I get after market parts if I find I need them.

Thanks for you help, any information will help me...

Re: Cajun Boats

That seems like a high price for a boat that hasn't been well maintained. Check the transom and decks very carefully for rot. If there is no rot and the carpet and upolstery are in good shape than it may be a fair price. Parts availability shouldn't be a problem for a Yamaha.

Re: Cajun Boats

I have owned a Cajun Bass Boat for a longtime, great boats and well built. They went of of business in 1997, if you look on NADA it will show you that as well. One of the nice things with the Cajun boats built after 1992 is they all had composite transoms, so your boat should not have any problems. $6K seems to be high, especially if it has been outside uncovered.
