yup. just that simple. It may be difficult finding them apart. Most junkyards will want to sell you the whole unit. You may also need to swing by NAPA and buy one or two adapters (the brass brake fittings aisle).

Do ya know where I can get this asap????

well, yes. just one or two posts up is an ebay link. print it out and take it to a boat junkyard. hand it to the guy and say "I need one of these".

FELLOWS, I'M REALLY KINDA LOST WHEN LOOKING FOR A USED, FOR THAT MATTER A NEW, MOTOR/PUMP. I GOT THE NUMBER OFF THE MOTOR HOUSING LAST NITE AND CANT SEEM TO FIND IT ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET. I KNOW ITS NOT MADE ANYMORE BUT REPLACEMENTS ARE. FOR INSTANCE, THE REPLACEMENTS SEEM TO HAVE THE OEM # LISTED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING. WHICH ONE DO I NEED??? NEW??? THE USED ONE IS NOT READILY AVAILABLE.

already looked and contacted that marine store. "not at this time" and kansas seems to have sh** for used/salvage boat yards.

Then go order a volvo AQ290 new and send me a pm asking for plate. I'll give you an adapter plate for free if you will give me back a detailed record of nuts, bolts, washers, and fittings that you use. here is an ebay listing of the volvo pump you would be looking for.

Wow, thank you for the offer. Ive read a few threads about your adapter. I'm guessing its for my valve body onto this pump?? Would i need specific orings to seal it or do you have those parts handy.
And absolutley i would provide you with a list of necessary hardware i'd use.
Let me get into this pump alittle and i'll email you once i purchase it, ok?

what about using the arco 6206 or 6220, its alittle cheaper? Or do you personally recommend the volvo??

i only like the volvo because it is complete pump with both motor and valve body. I don't like doing half jobs. I washed my car four years ago and it upsets me that I have to do it again. You can imagine how I feel about fixing machines more than once.

the mounting bolt pattern. JohnnyRude inverted the standard Prestolite pattern for your system. They did not want people using Chrysler style pumps. Volvo had no such issues and stuck with the standard mounting bolt pattern. If you mount the volvo onto your J/E transom it will be upside down. The adapter flips it back up.

I have a Calco trim unit for a 1975 Johnson that the motor crapped out. Is the volvo unit that is listed on ebay equipped with a pump? It looks like a whole unit with Motor, resivour and pump. Is this correct?

you can get them with or without pump. With pump should run just under $200. I haven't heard any feedback from jpendergrass about what fitting are needed. Maybe this weekend I'll just sit down and figure it out. Probably be some CuNi tubing invlolved.
