A friend of mine was a the dump in the mid-70s, and saw a guy getting set to tilt an old Rock-Ola jukebox out of the back of his truck. He caught the guys attention too late, and watched the thing roll down the slope. He still has the face-plate and a few other nice bits off of it, but he kicks himself for not getting to it sooner.

I'm a bit curious on this. Did you check the output for the right voltage? Did you put it on a load for a period of time? It makes me think that just because the motor runs does not mean that the generator output is up to par. If all that checks out then yes you just won the superbowl of dump diving :D

We have a thrift store and a Salvation Army store in town that usually gets that stuff. And, if you're real lazy, we also have our own Fred Sanford who drives around on Sundays and picks through the oversized trash that people set on the corners of their lot.

Great find but I agree with Mayfloat, check it out first before you fry something.

I plunged in my work halogen light for about 1/2 hour and it didn't even flicker and the gauge read 60 hz the complete time.
