I have a 470 Mercruiser engine and broke my last prop. I thought I would order from iboats to save some money. I gave them my numbers off one of the props and still received the wrong one. I have two props with the numbers 48-78120-19 and the other one that I gave them is 78-78122-21. Both Props have the letter L on them. They are both 4 3/4 diameter.

I talk to a rep. and he said I should order the one I received. I was not sure about the clockwise or the counter-clockwise. I guess it did not matter.

How come their Left is not the same as Left that I have???

Both your props are Right hand rotation you ordered left hand. The L is probably a production number possibly for November, they usually throw out I to avoid confusiuon with the number 1.
Viewed from behind the boat I think if you rotate your props (clockwise)(R)you can see with righthand rotation they would push the boat forward. Usually the rotation indication is part of the part number. And On single screw boats (L) would be the exception.Volvos turn up with L but they are easily adjusted to L or R.
I think iboats will exchange your prop.Props are sometimes labeled C for clockwise and CC for counter clockwise

Your props are standard right rotation props, not left rotation. Clockwise is right rotation whereas counter-clockwise is left rotation. Left rotation is generally used in a dual engine setup. One outdrive will have right rotation and the other left rotation.

I wish some one told the Rep. that..... That is the reason I was calling him. To find out the difference.
