Thanks for the post dude. I posted some pics from T-Bar during the flood a while back in this forum. I may go back through the posts and find them to re-post for you. One of the guys in the pics I posted still has a trailer at T-Bar and We beach together a lot. Cool stuff.

Here's the story of 1983. I posted earlier that the storms were in March. These videos say May. I rented a cabin in March '83 in Big Bear. I was there for 9 days straight third week of March. I skied fresh powder 5 out of those 9 days, storms spaced perfectly apart so we had a day of sun between each. Best skiing I've had in my life and it was SoCal. We were calling it Big Bear Colorado, and I was thinking those storms were part of the source of the floods. Apparently May was bigger, but in the Rockies.

Good job, I'm new for fishing, I have been Vegas wash and black island for two days with live bait fishing, but no luck, I got nothing, not even a bite.

great videos QC, I am enjoying them so much.spill ways and cavitation are most used words.Lake meads spill ways were open too,maybe causing the same problem or worse right!

I bought my first boat in '84, and my first trip to Mead was '85. We thought 1200+ feet was normal. I pulled a naked skier around the Mushroom. The bad ole days.

Thanks for posting up the vids. I was partying down on the strip back then. Sundance getting flooded was a big deal. That was one of our main watering holes. We were just devastated.

Just thought id put a little real life of james here, I have had a bad year-- first i didnt make it to lake for summer at all as i was fixing my new boat,Then my german sheppard died at age of 13 a few months ago,just as i finished the boat,its bad right! hold om it deepens as of last week my house was robbed and they took all that ran on power.But they left the boat alone,yes i smiled as my new smart 3d tv was gone but my boat was the same.Now ive been watching my street ad ive noticed my new neighbor 2 houses down is cheating on her husband as he works graveyard and a guy shows up to visit many times but i think there starting to notice that i see them,which means more trouble for me,but we are moving out of this house that we rent and going to a safer place i hope.what i love about the lake is that you control your enviroment and safety is always nearby. I was 15 when qc made his first trip to mead but on the same day probally i made my first trip to lake powell with a good friend and he showed me and my friend everything about boating,most of the time we made fun of him but later in life we became him lol. just thought i would share this with my mead brothers.

That suck about your house being robbed. Nothing like being violated in your own home but like you said, at least the boat is still there. Hope you find a place that makes you feel comfortable. And I'm really sorry to hear about your dog, we have three, all rescues. Our little furry friends are more family then anything and is devastating when we lose one, especially my wife.

Sorry to hear about your bad year jj. You're not alone, brother. :dispirited:
Somehow, 2013 has turned out to be the worst year of my life as far as family and friends are concerned. So far this year I have lost my brother, my dad, my closest aunt, 2 friends, several friends' parents I knew well, some business acquaintances I had become close with, and now one of my close Tbar friends has had cancer rear it's ugly head for the 2nd time in his life. This time he was given a death sentence. I'm glad he has decided to fight it again as difficult as it will be. I believe sam60 stayed in the spot next to him when he had that eventful trip last year.
I also had our delivery trailer stolen at work from behind our shop, but I actually spent a couple hours driving around the area and found it, which landed the idiot that stole it in jail (I loved that part!). Now I've installed a security camera system as well as taking other precautions.
Just remember jj - even after all this we need to keep our head high and look forward. We have many more days on the lake ahead of us to look forward to. :encouragement:

jj, sorry to hear of the problems but you seem to be planning for better and I hope it works well for you & your family. I lost my GS dog also in the last couple of months which hurt bad. Hang in there jj.

Man, 12vMan, so sorry for the tough times. It seems to be happening too much here also. My thoughts are with you in your struggles as well as Parrothead. Never met either of you but I feel the hurt from the news. You offer good advice in moving forward.

I would have been glad to let the boat go, instead of coming home to my wife crying as she so scared there coming back.
Hanna was my best friend as you can see in photos of us as I created this forum or what ever its called,I adopted her from lied as she was rejected from metro k9 due to gun fire issues,when I first brought her home after work she would be sitting atop my 9ft brick wall one leg on each side lol.

Thanks sam60,im sorry to hear about your loss gs too.There incredible dogs.This is the second gs ive lost both lived 13 yrs and died of tumors near stomache.Im glad to hear from you.

I am sorry, more than that, to hear about your dad,brother,and aunt and friends 12vman only time can change that deep sorrow

I thought I was alone in this but I quickly noticed you all care for me and that makes me feel good,granite I haven't been to mead for a while or put up pics of it, I promise you I lived on mead for 14plus yrs every weekend for 2 days and I learned every bird call,coyote howl,each duck that swam to my boat no matter where I was on lake I knew it.Most of all I loved going there because people like all of us on this forum were super friendly and waved as they passed or pulled up to make sure your ok even if you didn't wave them down.

Jj, 12vman & sam60 sorry to hear about all of your losses. I hope things get better for you all. it never gets easier to lose family or friends. And I've been robbed before as well and I know how horrible that is. my prayers go out to all of you.

Glad we all have such a wonderful place being this forum, to be able to share almost anything and everything that's on our minds.

As jj asked, is there a time when we need help with our feelings? Time heals and part of the healing process is being able to talk with friends, like our Lake Mead bros. And like mb said to be able to share anything and everything that's on our minds.
