Can a Minn Kota Riptide 80lb (24v) be converted??

So a co-worker has a Minn Kota Riptide 80lb thrust (24 volt) unit that's currently a tiller handle.
I was wondering if it's possible for this unit to be converted to a iPilot system? The way my boat is setup, the tiller handle isn't ideal however the price of the unit can't be passed up.
Thoughts?

LTLWILLIE, in all honestly, you would be better off selling that trolling motor and buying what you want. A conversion effort can get really costly and iffy if you can't find the needed parts. And a serious conversion from a tiller steering setup to a iPilot is a huge conversion. JMHO!

Agree 100% with gm280. All you will have left from the Riptide is the shaft and motor head. The money is in the iPilot parts.

They make an add on kit for Autopilot and one bow mount unit, the Terrova I think, but it would be very difficult to add the iPilot features to a tiller model.
