Is there any lubrication issues if trying to run this engine when fully tilted? I'm wondering if it would be ok to flush the motor using the muffs while it is running, as I would have to tilt it right up as I keep it at a marina. I flush every go with the hose attachment but have gathered that using the muffs does a better job.

Thanks

Andy

Andy

what year is your motor? I have a 04 F50 and it has a flushing attachment on the right side of the outboard. Just hook up a hose up to the attachment and your ready to flush it out.

Yes, Mine is just like yours with the flusher. I use this every time. I have got the impression from this forum that using the muffs with the engine running, and up to temp, is a more comprehensive flush as water pump will be be operating, and the thermostat will be open.
