Can I bypass oil injection?

Hey guys I bought a boat with a ‘94 Mariner 50hp that has oil injection. Just tested it out motor runs great. But I hate the fact it has oil injection and no way of knowing if the engine is getting oil and it could fail at anytime. I have no problem mixing gas. This might be a very dumb question but I’m gonna ask it anyway. Could I use premix and have some be in the gas tank and then put the premix in the oil reservoir too? Lol. So that when the oil injection system is injecting it will just inject the same premix that I have in the gas tank. OR could I just take the oil injection system out completely take all the hoses out and just run premix? Or even just leave the oil reservoir empty and use premix? Thinking about it I couldn’t see why one of these options wouldn’t work. But maybe it’s way more complicated then it sounds.
