Never thought of sonic torture by thumping them fish with the sub... hehehehe... I do plan on being respectful to others on the water, and not cranking to 500db.... Just love low end! I'm a drummer.... Can't help it...

You could cut away the carpet and epoxy some mounting tabs or blocks in place to avoid cutting into the boat itself. This would securely mount the sub cabinet for safety reasons and still allow it to be removed easily.

This is what I'm going for.

Making stern storage boxes under both seats / electronics & extra battery compartment / sub housing.

Cut hole for sub today... Fitting tops as soon as I cut the wood, then paint. Then carpet the entire deal...
