I want to paint the floor white. There was previously glued down carpet which I still need to remove some residual glue and small pieces.

Can I apply deck paint directly on top? I will later apply sea dek/eva foam sections in the walk path areas. I rather not sand the fiberglass since it mostly part of the structure if I can help it.

I want to use something like this https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/marine-coatings/topside-paint

Roll and tip apply it.

Save a little on the paint and use Rustoleum Professional White w the added enamel hardener.

Topside paint is the same chemical makeup as the Professional. No different, just more expensive

Needs to be a clean surface for either,

I used a Dock paint produced by Sherwin Williams for mine. I am really happy with how it came out and the texture. Still in the middle of my build and it has been really taking a beating no scratches chips or anything from tools and wood sliding on it. It was also easy to apply and they will mix in sand to it if you want more texture. It cleans pretty well too. Its called super Deck and Dock. In my research and my conversations with the folks at the store its from a Canadian company they had bought out and was originally formulated for Docks.

Note* the type of roller you use will determine the texture of it. It won't be glass smooth.
