A buddy of mine purchased an older 5.5 Johnson that someone has removed the Id tag for some reason. Maybe it was a hot motor at some time. We think that it may be a 1962, 63, or 64. My old Evinrude has the model and serial no stamped on a silver 1/4 dollar size plug on the motor. This motor has the 1/4 size plug with the Johnson symbol and the numer 29512 which I would assume would be a serial #. Is there any year info available from this number? Just asking?
