can someone help explain my tilt and trim situation

I just bought a boat that has separate trim up and down buttons, and tilt up and down buttons.

Every boat I've driven in the past always had trim up and down, then a single button (often labeled "trailer") that tilted the outdrive up. You would just use the trim down button to put the motor all the way down.

Why do I have a tilt down button? Am I supposed to put the drive all the way down with that?

I have the same setup. Tilt all the way down after launching, all the way up when pulling out of the water. Like old trailor switch. Trim up or down on water as usual.
