I never replaced the relief valve assembly just because the problem existed prior to changing the t-stat.
Do you think this could be the cause.
My relief valves?
My problems started after the exhaust area gaskets were replaced. Never had a cooling problem at all prior to this. So when I took it back to the mechanic not the last time but time before that. I marked the bolt heads (exhaust plate)so I would know if he went back into his work done previous to fix it and then tell me it was something else. Well he did tell me it was the entire impeller assembly and changed it for 165.00.
Got it back still not circulating. So this time when I took it back I insisted he check the work originally done when he replaced the gaskets. He said he would.
Now my concern is this time when I got it back the entire side of my motor had been freshly painted black.I think he replaced the entire side with parts he had in the shop but painted them first. Why else would he feel the need to paint
What do you guys think.
