Can this fuel pump nipple be replaced?

Has anyone every replaced one of these nipples? Do they come out? If so, how? thx.

Some would come out (threaded with a hex), others were cast in. Since yours doesn't have a hex nipple, it is one of the cast-in ones. I suppose you could drill and tap threads.

I think I have a junked one of those pumps in the drawer. Do you want me to see if I can find it? Yours for mailing cost if it's the same one...

What motor is that off of? We have a spare 62 40hp that might have a whole pump on it, would that work? Could meet you near my work Steve.

It's off an early 60's 5.5, although I think they're all similar. Thanks for the offers, I'm going to see if I can fix it first. I like trying these things :) Drill n tap... That's doable. Just hope the pieces don't fall in! Recon I'll have to take it apart.
