Can you rebuild alpha on bench?

Now that I have all the components blasted and painted. Can I 100 percent rebuild the gimbal housing gimbal ring and bell housing on the bench. I am replacing every single component with OEM. It's seems it may be awkward not mounted on the boat. May be easier I just don't know cause I have never done this work before. The boat is one hour away and on a gravel drive. Thx for your input.

Sure factory does it every day. Just need something to be able to hold it securely so you can apply sufficient torque to put it back together

Ayuh,.... I suppose you could bolt it to the bench,.......

I'm seeing that u almost need a keyhole cut on sum plywood so u get torque like u guys are saying but also done damage plastic water tube. I need a template of the keyhole. Hmmmm?

lol ur bad ass Bondo. I have no boats laying around. I have 3 and closest is an hour away. Gonna take sum measurements. Here's my Mach up bench.

Ayuh,..... I always cut 'em out, for future OMC Stringer conversions,..... ;)
