Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Candock Jetslide boat lift system. I'd be using it for an 18 foot Sea Ray bowrider with a 3.0 litre 4 cylinder stern drive. Not only do I want to keep the hull free of growth but I also need the drive unit to be clear of the water. I have a lot of zebra mussels in my area and last year they got into the drive unit through the water intakes while the boat was sitting in the water all season.

Any input welcome.

Thanks,
Greg

Re: Candock Jetslide Boatlift

My neighbor has something similar for his 20-something jet boat. The jet nozzles are mostly out of the water. Not sure how they would work on a sterndrive lower unit. I suppose if you load the boat onto the lift, with the outdrive down, and then tilt it up, most of it will be out of the water. Watch for problems with the driveshaft bellows, as they are not really made for keeping the drive tilted all the way up.
