Cannot find year / hp of Evinrude outboard?

Hello,

I've been reading and searching through the forums, I'm having trouble finding the year and hp of my Evinrude outboard. I found a number stamped onto the transom bracket "190353-16BS1". There is no ID tag on the transom bracket, do I need to look somewhere else?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

there should be a plug like this one the block, post the numbers

I called Evinrude, they confirmed that the outboard is a 1994, 30 HP model. Thanks for the help in locating the serial #!

now order a service manual, and keep up with the preventive maint. properly maint. 2 strokes will out live us. if this is new to you, change the impeller.
