My 20 hp chrysler sea king wont fire. I removed the flywheel and removed some minor rust from inside of flywheel and brushed light rust off from magnets on coils. I think I need an impact wrench of some kind to turn it over faster and easier then hand cranking. Am working on this by myself, which isnt easy. Called Franz and he tried to tell me how to check points to see if they work, but I guess I dont understand how to use a voltmeter. Can anyone give me some advise as to getting it back to firing ?? Someone before me installed a kill switch and am not sure if it is working right. I did get a manual from Chrysler Crew which would help if I knew where to go from here.

Thanks,
Eterry

To keep it simple disconnect the wire at the kill switch and check for spark. If still no spark inspect clean and adjust the points.I usually just clean with contact cleaner on a piece of file card put it between the points and pull it out
repeat until no dirt gets on the card.If they are pitted you may leave pieces of card behind it is best to replace them.

Thanks Steelspike. I am working on it in spare time, which isnt much as we are working overtime while others on vacation. As soon as possible will try to get it firing, then will move on to carb. Repair manual from Chryslercrew was a godsend, wish I had had it years ago.
