When I connect a LED on my DLC and turn the IGN ON without starting, the LED is ON which indicates that codes are presents.

I then jump A-B to get the codes, and only 12, 12, flashes continiously, whick is 'no fault'.

I Know if I clear the codes the LED will be OFF since I did that in the past.

Did I miss a step?

Have not heard about if LED is on without jumper then there are codes. Either way 12 is all things are ok, so no need to clear. Should always see 12 unless there is a code fault

alldodge, I took this information on the Rinda website for their CodeMate device. But I didn't read correctly (french brain).
With only IGN ON, it is a test light, and if it remains ON during start up then there is a MIL. I can't start the engine right now because I removed the injectors for servicing, I will check later.

But, I also have a Fox Marine Gateway connected, and it reports a MIL but their software doesn't offer the capacity of reading codes. That's why I wanted to use the LED method.
