Hey all. When I bought my boat last year the capacity sticker was faded to the point it was not readable. During the course of restoring the boat, that part of the console has been cut out. Am I required to replace this? If so, where would I get one? Can I be fined for not having one? Any input is appreciated. I'm in Texas by the way in case any of you know any applicable state laws I should be aware of. Thanks! :)

You can contact the manufacturer with make model and hull id number, and they may give you one, depends on the manufacturer.

Or you can make your own if you can find the info..

Thanks. I'll give it a shot, but I won't get my hopes up. I've contacted them twice now with questions and have heard nothing from them. Do you know if there are any legal issues running the boat without one?

I work with a high quality industrial digital printer and can make you one if you were to give me the size of the decal and all the information that needs to go on it. The decal would be printed on vinyl and overlaminated with a clear adhesive that's good for at least 5 years outdoors.

You can also find them (preprinted) online (not sure how "legal" they would be, but....I would go this route and if DNR called me on it, I would plead ignorance (it was on the boat when I got it.....I never gave it a second thought).....
