I'm a WIX and Valvoline guy myself. But you definitely can't go wrong with the factory stuff. I, too stay away from Fram whenever possible. I have also cut open many filters and the frams are just built inferior and I think the only filters fram sells branded differently than fram are labeled "jiffy lube".

I use AC/Delco in my GM products with Quaker State oil. Have always had good luck with both - all we ever used, unless the customer asked for something different or brought his own materials in for a change.

Stay away from Pennzoil, they use a parrifin base that leaves sludge and carbon deposits behind. Ive torn apart many engines that have been exclusivly ran on penzoil and other brands and can attest to this. I generally run fram for no particular reason and always run castrol.

Use an OE Nissan filter and a decent brand of oil such as Valvoline or Castrol.

In our GM vehicles we use ACDelco filters on all three. We used Mobil one on all three, until the leak on the truck with 400,000 miles got worse. Now it gets whatever is on sale, as it gets sent to the driveway before being wore out. Just top it off once a month and keep a quart under the seat.

Everyone has their favorite. I personally use only Pennzoil. I have heard other people say the same about a Parafin base, but I have never had a problem.

The last vehicle I got rid of had 240,000 miles and we gave it away only because it was hit by a milk truck.

My current car I bought new and it has 265,000 miles and runs great. I expect to get 300,000 or more out of it.

I own 3 vehicles now and and all have over 150,000 and all run Pennzoil.

Been using Fram's for 30 years; cars, trucks, motorcycles, and now 4-stroke outboards. Never an issue
