Hi Guys,
I'm busy re -doing my carb, and noticed the needle on the attached picture is not in the middle. My first question is that normal? If not, how do i remove it? I've ordered a carb kit not sure if that part would be included...
Also what should i soak the carb in to clean it?

Mike

That is the way it comes from the factory !!!!---Do not mess with this wee tube.----It feeds fuel up to the top for low speed operation. Carburetor looks fairly clean, what is your motor doing / not doing ???

Run a very fine wire up that tube to make sure it's clean.

I know this might seem very vague, however it feels like there is a slight "miss fire" but I know there is a spark, and the engine runs ok on idle, and it runs okish on full throttle.
If it was an electrical miss fire, surely this would be on all throttle positions?

I get the feeling the motor should run better.....

---" vague " it is -----What motor are you working on ??---What are the results of a compression test ?----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all cylinders ?---It must jump a gap of 3/8" to be considered good spark !

What's the compression on it. Will the spark jump a 7/16" open air gap on a spark tester ??
