I have a 89 bayliner with a omc and a 302. I was thinking about switching from a two barrel carb to a 4 barrel (switching manafold also). Is there any difference between a marine carb and a regular car one? thanks

Wrong forum Buttz. This is for outboards, you have an I/O.

Going to the I/O Forum.

Re: carb question

u have to use a marine carb. It's coated to resist corrosion and it also has an extra port to suck the fuel out of the fuel pump if the pump fails

Re: carb question

You have to use a marine; otherwise the fumes can blow up the boat.
Also marine distributer, and marine fuel pump.
