Did that swap 2 or 3 yrs ago. Took the Holley 500 cfm 2bbl off and put in its place a Holley Marine 650 spreadbore. My 2002 VP 5,7 came with a real nice 4bbl manifold and adapter plate to mount the 2bbl.

jimbo - i've got a 1997 GL (with the same 2 bbl holley you used to have).. do you mind giving me the casting number for the intake manifold you've got? would be nice if I didn't have to replace it to go to the 4 bbl. thanks!

I failed to notice the 5.0 to 5.7 part. Boats in the shop so I can't get the part # for the manifold but here's a pic of the manifold when the engine was being replaced(warranty). An Edelbrock Performer RPM for the Vortec is similar.

That manifold right there is a 4bbl with a 2bbl adapter. Looks just like mine.
FWIW.
Did any of the late model motors come with a dedicated 2bbl manifold?
I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I had a 4bbl intake.
