I have a Clymer and see where the 80-100 HP Yamaha have the carburetors equalized when they are synchronized. I have a 50 HP and the manual give a different set up for the sync. The no. 3 cylinder. is .4" lower mercury than no. 4, no. 2 is .8" lower than no. 4 and no. 1 is 1.2" lower than no. 4. I am just curious why the 40-50 HP engines have this different set up?
