Carbs need to convert 40 HP Merc to 60 HP

I have a 1996 Mercury 40 HP 4 CYL. I have been told that the only difference between it and the 60 HP are the carbs and some tuning. <br /><br />1. Can anyone verify that this is true?<br />2. What carbs do I need to do the conversion?<br />3. Does anyone have any for sale?<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Jeff

Jeff<br />Sorry Mate, a bit more than that is needed.<br />60hp is a 3 cly to start with, not even close to the 40 4 cly.<br />Not even from the same family of engines as we say.<br />If you want a 60 trade in your 40.<br /><br />Kiwi

Jeff,<br />The 50 and the 60 are from the same family, but the 40 is out there on it's own.<br /><br />Kiwi
