73 30HP CHRYSLER long shaft 14'SKIFF
I just replaced the transom 20" from top to bottom. I see alot of people say the cavatation plate should be even with the bottom of the boat. Mine is 2" below and I have a problem with water circulation(it doesnt) at anything but full negative trim. I can run wot all day at full negative trim but only half throttle if I trim it even on hole up.

thx in advance for any assistance

Chucky

That motor is supposed to be at 18", unless you live in clown town and 20 works

Re: CAVATATION PLATE HEIGHT

Usually the cavitation plate is recommended at or slightly above bottom of boat. Granted some people get away with them higher. No experience w/ Chrysler.

You may be due for a new water pump or other cooling system maintenance. Fix the engine then raise it till its even with the bottom.
