Hey guys quick question, most likely nothing(fingers crossed). I was out on my 91 3.0L Mercruiser on the weekend fishing, when we pulled out fishing gear in the boat stalled on it's own. Now, I think this is due to the idle set low, it's come close to stalling before but never did until yesterday. When I went to start it, it wouldn't start for a few seconds which is very weird for this engine, it's a tank and always starts, runs perfect, and pulls like a mule on steroids. Then once I got it started after a few tries we started back home. We were bouncing off some slightly rough seas, then about half way through we went off an average wave and the engine rev'd up like it was in neutral for a second then carried on perfectly. It did this one more time shortly after under the same circumstance and was fine the last 20 minutes home. I know the leg wasn't out of the water because the wave we hit wasn't even that big. Could this have lifted it close enough to the surface that maybe it caused some cavitation then when the weight of the boat was back in the water it continued on??? I know this a strange question but I just need some feed back from you boys. Thanks
